More classic horror film posters

In graphic design, horror, illustration, movie posters, vintage advertising on May 26, 2011 at 11:29 am

I haven’t been updating my blog as regularly as I’d like lately for several reasons. First reason is that I just graduated from the Pacific Northwest College of Art over the last weekend. Needless to say I’ve been a little busy. Also, my computer died about a month or so back. So I’ve been working mainly at the school. However, I just purchased a brand new computer, so I’m back in business. Expect more frequent updates. For now here’re some more rad horror posters.

JIMUPPET

In comics, illustration, sketchbook on March 25, 2011 at 12:26 pm

In the midst of working on my thesis I wanted to take a breather and draw something fun and unrelated to what I’d been focusing on. I stumbled across a blog where my buddy, illustrator BT Livermore and his studio mates drew themselves as muppets. So I decided to steal their idea and do it myself.

RUBBER

In graphic design, illustration on March 6, 2011 at 5:40 pm

I was lucky enough to see an advance screening of this film about a killer tire that destroys everything in its way. Once I got past the absurd premise I found that it was a very clever and well put together little flick. Hats off to director Quentin Dupieux and the other filmmakers involved. The marketing for this film is just as good as the film itself. I decided to share the different poster designs with you. The one in the middle was painted by the legendary fantasy illustrator Boris Vallejo!
