I designed a series of avatars for Celly, a free group text messaging service for schools and communities that offers rich group texting, polling, instant mobile networks among other services.

I used to work at a vintage store and often times got paid in trade. As a result I’ve acquired some interesting items, including several issues of Life magazines from the 1960s. This is the first in a series of vintage ads I’ll be posting here. These advertisements are a window into the past and really reflect the times. It’s fascinating to see what has changed and what hasn’t.
This is a mood board for an assignment in my motion graphics class. The assignment is to create an opening title credits sequence based on a book. I chose Freaky Deaky, the 1988 crime novel by Elmore Leonard.

This is a concept sketch from late last year. It wasn’t used but I still kind of like it.
One advantage of printing a book on demand is the opportunity to make revisions without having to trash a ton of copies of the book. This is a revised cover design for my graphic novel FIASCO. I will more than likely make a few more minor changes before I order more copies.
